Hardin County
In addition to the three largest incorporated cities of Radcliff, Vine Grove and Elizabethtown, Hardin County is home to dozens of smaller communities like Rineyville, Sonora, Glendale and Cecilia. Each offers an idyllic small-town or rural country setting with easy access to Fort Knox and larger commercial centers.
Baptist Health Hardin is the local healthcare provider, with more than 50 primary and specialty care locations throughout the region as well as a 300-bed hospital. In the unincorporated portions of the county, Hardin County Schools provides quality public education for school-age children, and numerous postsecondary certification and degree options are available at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC).
Quality, affordable housing of all kinds are available to rent or buy in a very strong housing market. A well-established transportation network provides interstate access that makes travel to larger nearby cities with international airports quick and easy. Louisville’s Muhammad Ali International Airport is just a short, 40-minute drive north on Interstate 65.
